DESCRIPTION / OPERATION

The rotary screens are connected to pumps outlet. Their objective is to achieve a fine separation of the waste contained in the effluent.

Originally developed for industrial and predominantly agri-food applications such as canneries and slaughterhouses, the use of this technology has been extended to pretreatment applications at sewage treatment plants.

As the effluent passes through the cylindrical grid, the waste entrained by the screen rotational movement passes through the other side of the drum. A scraper mounted on a spring and supported on the entire width of the drum, collects the waste to be be collected by gravity into a container.

It is possible to integrate a screw compactor with the rotating drum, declined under the denomination DRUMSEP/P. In this version, the collected waste is dewatered and compacted beforehand.

DESIGN

›SCREENING

The cylindrical shaped grid consists of a wounded trapezoidal wire. The filter mesh is calibrated at the time of its manufacture.

›WASHING RAMP

A high pressure washing ramp, in continuous operation, is positioned inside the drum. Thus, at each turn, a clean surface is available to the incoming effluent.

›FLANGES

The machine is equipped with three flanges. One for feeding the unit at the upper part, a second one for the effluent discharge and one for the overflow outlet.

The position of the supply flange is fixed. The other two can be installed either on the right or on the left, or underneath as far as the flange is concerned.
